Aubree Jade Barber

Aubree was born at 3:30PM, October 30th and weighed 5 pounds 8 ounces.
She's 18 inches long.

Aubree is more vocal than Ashlee, both in frequency and volume :)

She is very easy to comfort, and is happy be held by anyone. She's simply beautiful :)

Ashlee Grace Barber

Ashlee was born at 3:31PM, October 30th and weighed 4 pounds 10 ounces. Ashlee is also 18 inches long. She has a full head of hair, a beautifully defined face, and opens up her deep dark eyes. She is a darling little beauty!

Donovan delivers their first gifts

A few weeks ago Donovan picked out a gift for Ashlee and Aubree, and he happily gave them each their birthday gifts.

In 480 hours or less, Ashlee and Aubree will be born.

In less than 3 weeks we'll transition from a family of three to a family of five. Ashlee and Aubree are healthy, doing well, and by a judge of their activity they'll be very entertaining babies. Obviously, we're very excited and simply can't wait :)

Twins are a lot of work, even before they're born.

This weekend we washed and folded four loads of baby clothes. I do four loads of laundry pretty regularly, but baby clothes are different. The issue is that since baby clothes are so small, there's easily triple the folding per load. ...Interesting stuff I'm sure.

Parenting with Style

I'm pretty excited to have my Shift Racing “Baby Bag�, Chicco baby carrier, and Combi strollers all setup and ready to go. Ashlee and Aubree will now be carried around in style... which should compliment their wardrobes which easily outnumber my own.

All on Board

Kristy is anxious for them to be born. Occasionally when she's tremendously uncomfortable, she even threatens to start doing jumping jacks. Donovan took a big brother class and has been happily enjoying the discussions about the two new babies that will be born soon.

Speaking of "all on board"... there is no way to fit our two infant travel systems and one booster seat into my Subaru Impreza WRX STI, so we have ordered a new Buick Enclave so that we can tote around the 'fam' and gear in relative style... and without need for a minivan. I've got my eye on a few accessories that should make it a worthy ride, albeit far less exciting than the STi.

We can't wait to meet you both! It's been a looong road to this point, but we've definitely enjoyed the journey. Now there are only 479.5 hours left (or less if they come sooner)... it's going fast!
