Designers - Logo Feedback Please
June 3rd, 2007
While I do not offer logo design as a service, we were asked by one of our existing customers to provide rapid fire logo iterations for a possible branding update.
The current logo does not have unique typography, nor a memorable emblem. My personal opinion is that their current logo does not demonstrate the company’s image very well, and would hinder the pending redesign of their website. I suggested the client consider a logo revamp prior to the major marketing campaign they are planning. However I just jumped into this thing, and the timeline is too short to outsource the logo creative.
The logo’s mission is to show that “Integrity Communications” is a wireless communcations service company founded on integrity and commitment to serve their customers. As such we feel the logo should convey:
- a foundation of Integrity
- A solid commitment
- continuous service
- wireless services
- Leader in their niche market
I’d love to get your feedback
We are in the conceptual stage of this logo… not the final tweaking of it. Check out the logo iterations below and site your favorite logo and why. This will be an interesting experiment. Thanks to all who participate :)

Out of the design process emerges a new logo!

My favorite concept is #2. Emblem: based upon a foundation of integrity, shown in white to be clean and pure. The red graphic above is a “C” to represent ‘communications’, yet also conveys wireless services. I like the continuous shape of the “C”, as well as the bold and unique stance of the emblem. Typography: I did not want to change it too much from the current version, and this part of the logo is a work in progress. I did not like how their original logo lists “communications” in all caps. I feel white/red is a better combination than black/red for this logo, yet it is easily reversed as it will be required at times.

Scratch that. I updated the image and now I like #8 the best, for all the reasons mentioned above, plus the integration of emblem + type

This is a great idea - kudos.
As most designers do, I have ADD when it comes to critiques, so if this is less than fluid to read, I apologize.
regardless, here’s my $.02:
if I had to pick one based on first glance, I think it would be #8. I like the typeface & treatment on “INTEGRITY” the best on this one - but I have to admit that the lowercase “communications” feels out of place to me (I feel having to allow for the tittles of the lowercase “i”’s creates an awkward space/alignment underneath) - I would also probably try aligning it to the bottom of the “Y” rather than have it hang underneath and align to the top of the ascender.
Although I do like this emblem best - it does seem to have an angelic undertone to me (the circles wrapped around the “I” almost look like a halo) Although its insanely overdone right now, perhaps you could look to more of a series of circles to signify the wireless services - something that has suggested movement. (probably a small to large set)
I’ll stop here for now - best of luck to you - please continue to post as the process continues.

I like 8 as well. Similar to current version but definitely modernized.
