Goals for Manic Melon
May 21st, 2007
I’m a planner by nature. As such, even my personal blog was planned out not only in design, but in purpose and goals. Some may find that odd. Those who know me would probably be surprised if I did it any other way. Let me share with you the purpose and goals behind this blog.
Purpose
Manic Melon’s purpose is to provide valuable tips and ideas for business and website growth and improvement, as well as list my personal lifestyle entries for those who may have interest.
Goals
Much of my goals for Manic Melon are focused on building its readership base. Visibility goals for ManicMelon.com include…
- 50,000 pageviews in 12 months
5,000 reader visits in 12 months- Great News… it took only 3 weeks to reach this goal, a full 49 weeks sooner than expected! This is in large part due to my site being showcased at CSSDrive, CSSRemix, and CSSTux.
Guess I’ll have to set a new goal.- 50 valued relationships in 12 months
Why have goals for a blog?
I’ve often stated to customers that the consistent publishing of targeted content will produce not only a search engine friendly website, but a loyal readership base and valuable business inquiries. ManicMelon.com will be a real-life example of this statement. I guess you could say that I have something to prove.
