Manic Melon Launches!

ManicMelon.com is the new personal blog of Kevin Barber. More about this site [...]

Manic MelonOne of my goals for 2007 is to divert some energy towards my own projects and ventures. Manic Melon, the personal blog of Net Profit Services CEO Kevin Barber, is the first of these endeavors. This journal of ideas, tips, solutions, and assorted information also serves as an example of Net Profit Services’ capabilities for offering unique, effective, and efficient web solutions.

Key Features

ManicMelon.com features include…

  • simple IA for ease of use
  • Unique and memorable identity (hopefully)
  • Fresh and fruity design, again unique
  • No Navigation Bar. This blog uses tag based navigation
  • Easy Administration via the use of Wordpress as the back end.
  • Various WP customizations and plugins further enhance user experience.

The Team

Manic Melon was developed by our following team members.

  • Discovery / Strategy - Kevin Barber
  • Identity / Logo Iterations - Mike J
  • Design Iterations - Mike J
  • Prototype Refinement - Kevin & Mike, plus small user panel
  • Wordpress Integration - Mike J

The Name

I named my blog Manic Melon after my own brain, which is a frenzied mess of ideas, concerns, timelines, goals, and thoughts. I have a manic melon, and I’ve seen this condition with lots of my clients as well as other business owners and marketers.

Budget

The entire process from concept to content took our team less than fifty (50) hours. We could have gone a bit faster, but we made some revisions to make it ‘just right’.

Hope you like it

There are thousands of new blogs created every single day, so needless to say this website faces some stiff competition. However, I look forward to growing this website and its reader base. Grab our RSS Feed or bookmark this site via your preferred method, and I’ll catch you next time.
